1,500 Iron Golems Deployed to Reinforce Southern Biome Border

By Lolita Gravelstone and Tara Cobblestone, Special Correspondents for The Redstone Herald

The Nether Capitol – The Iron Guard Command is set to deploy up to 1,500 active-duty Iron Golems to fortify the southern border of the Overworld’s Desert Biome, officials announced on Emberday. The move comes as part of King Donald Stonewall’s executive orders aimed at curbing unauthorized Endermen teleportation and illegal Nether portal activations.

Acting Defense Mage Robert Ironhelm is expected to finalize the deployment orders shortly. However, details regarding which Golem units or patrol squads will be assigned remain unclear. The final tally of reinforcements may change depending on the situation. Questions also linger over whether these golems will directly enforce biome regulations—a task rarely assigned to them in the kingdom’s history.

Expanding the Patrol Network

The incoming Iron Golems will join the 2,500 Guards and Warden patrol units already stationed along the desert border. Previously, these forces focused on logistical support, minecart transportation, and the construction of cobblestone barriers to deter unauthorized crossings. However, this deployment marks the first time in decades that active-duty Golems may take on biome law enforcement roles.

Protecting our villages and biomes from mob invasions and unauthorized teleportations is critical for Overworld security,” stated an anonymous Council of Stone representative.

Villager Protests Spark Torchlit Vigil

Meanwhile, hundreds of villagers and mobs gathered in Emerald City’s Town Square for a torchlit vigil titled “Strong Walls, Open Hearts.” Organized by the Coalition for Mob and Villager Rights, the demonstration opposed King Stonewall's policies, which many claim disproportionately affect peaceful mobs such as wandering traders and Endermen seeking work.

We need bridges, not walls,” said Ella Tradesong, a representative of the coalition. “This biome has always been a place where villagers and mobs coexist.”

Strengthening Biome Defenses

The Golems’ duties are expected to focus on reinforcing existing defenses. Tasks may include:

Expanding cobblestone walls and obsidian barriers.

Establishing new patrol routes.

Assisting in minecart transportation to remote guard posts.

The Overworld has previously deployed Golems for such purposes under both King Stonewall and his predecessor, King Joe Miner.

Critics argue that adding more Iron Golems to the border will do little to address the root causes of unauthorized Nether portal activations and mob migration. However, proponents insist the increased presence will ensure the safety of villagers and their homes.

More Villagers in Quake-Ravaged Biome to Receive 750 Emeralds

By Tom Cobblestone, Staff Reporter for The Redstone Herald Quake Biome, Overworld – More tenants living in quake-damaged huts and lodges in the Shaky Biome will receive a one-time compensation of 750 emeralds, according to Secretary of Repairs Eddie Stoneforge. This announcement follows the initial payouts granted to a select group of villagers back in 2022. The new scheme expands the eligibility zone, allowing more tenants to apply for aid to address delayed repairs caused by ongoing biome stabilization efforts. Villagers renting from private landlords who missed the first round of emerald disbursements can submit their claims starting from 21st of Embermonth through to the end of Frostmoon 2025. A Step Toward Safer Living " Every villager deserves a secure and well-maintained hut ," stated Stoneforge. "Due to uncertainty about biome reinforcements, many repairs have been delayed. It's encouraging that more villagers can now access this compensation, whe...

Villagers Discover New Method to Speed Up Emerald Farming: MIT’s Latest Redstone Innovation

In a groundbreaking discovery that could revolutionize emerald trade routes across Minecraftia, researchers at the Minecraft Institute of Technology (MIT) have engineered a way to dramatically speed up emerald farming — and no, you won’t need to wait for geological timescales. The breakthrough comes from optimizing the natural processes within underground emerald veins. “The reaction is fundamentally over in a matter of hours,” said Professor Stone Abate, chief miner and redstone engineer on the project. “You don’t have to wait for chunks to load or ores to respawn. The process is so fast, it answers a key question: Is this even possible in Survival Mode? And the answer is absolutely yes.” The innovation, dubbed the "Nitrate Reduction Overdrive," involves using Fe2+ (that’s iron, for the rest of us) to accelerate the spawning of emerald blocks. "This is a significant breakthrough," said Geoffrey Gravel, a renowned geologist at the U.S. Mining Survey. ...
